Stools built with craftsmanship, timeless design, and to last for generations.
Why Stools?
Because the stool is elemental. It’s the purest form of furniture: a seat, a step, a stand, a companion to everyday life. Its simplicity leaves no room to hide; every joint, every curve, every proportion matters. To make a stool well is to practice restraint and precision. For me, that challenge is inspiring – and it’s why I’ve dedicated my work to reimagining the stool as something worthy of admiration and inheritance.
For you, the right stool can do more than fill a space – it can become part of your story. A stool is pulled close in conversation, tucked beside the fire, or used by a child reaching high for the first time. At The Stoolery, I build stools that endure those moments, pieces that transcend trends and carry their value long after fashions fade. They’re made to be lived with today, and passed down tomorrow.
My Process
Each stool begins in my shop in Chatham-Kent, Ontario. I source sustainable local woods and shape every detail by hand, balancing form and function so that every piece feels both refined and honest. Precision joinery, thoughtful design, and a respect for the material guide everything I make. It’s a slow, intentional approach that ensures no two stools are alike – but all share the same integrity.
The Promise
When you choose a stool from The Stoolery, you’re not just buying furniture. You’re investing in craftsmanship, timeless design, and a piece that’s meant to last for generations.
